Higher Education Student Visa

Foreign students who wish to pursue higher education in a listed course, for them Australian Higher Education Student visa is mandatory. The course can be associate degree, bachelor degree, graduate diploma, graduate certificate, or masters. Australia offers 38 public (government funded) universities and 2 private universities, for applicants to select from.

Australian Higher Education Student Visa Basic Requirements

Applicants should have adequate English language ability, in order to apply for a Higher Education Student visa. They should be able to produce evidence of adequate financial means to support themselves. They should be register in an authorized higher education course as their primary course of study. They should have acquired overseas student health insurance cover, in addition, for their tenure in Australia.

Australian Higher Education Student Visa Entitlements

Australian Higher Education visa holders are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week, during the term. Australian Higher Education Student visa is valid for the tenure till the higher education course concludes. This is a temporary visa. However, Visa holders can work unrestricted, during the term breaks.
